Primary metal-forming processes
At Trifab Engineering, we offer multiple primary processes to support or complement your manufacturing, assembly or product realisation operations.
Our range of services includes:
- ]Cutting
precision-guided cutting for the perfect fit. We are able to laser cut mild steel up to 12mm in thickness, or up to 6mm for stainless steel. For heavier duty cutting, our plasma cutting rig can handle steel sheets up to 3 000mm x 1 500mm, in thicknesses up to 12mm (stainless steel) and 20mm (mild steel).
- ]Guillotine cutting
for steel sheets and elements up to 4.5mm in thickness or diameter.
- ]Profiling
shaping metal using templates with plasma and laser technology to create the curve or shape you’re looking for.
- ]Bending
using bar bending schedules to deliver accurate curves. Our bending equipment can accommodate steel thicknesses of 3mm, and lengths of up to 6 000mm.
- ]Punching
accurate removal of small shapes from metal plate. We are able to add perforations to standard steel sheets up to 8mm in thickness.
- ]Polishing
adding a smooth, shiny finish to raw steel or a manufactured steel product. We can provide exceptional finishes for all your plates, dished ends, pipe, angles and square tubing, plus PVC coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and safety.
- ]Chequer plate (Vastrap)
patterned steel surfaces with multiple applications, chequered plate has improved resistance to corrosion, and can be used as a decorative element or to add a non-slip finish to flooring in areas where liquid spillages are likely. We can add Vastrap patterns to standard sheets with dimensions up to and including 3 000mm x 1 500mm x 4.5mm
- ]Fabrication
manufacturing, welding and assembly of mild steel, stainless-steel structures, components and elements.
Semi-finished products
If you prefer to complete your products yourself, we can supply high-quality semi-finished articles ready for final processing and branding, as required.
